Many people do not take the time to fill out their LinkedIn profiles. However, it plays a fundamental role, because it allows you to differentiate yourself from the competition. Here are a few things that will help you get on the right track.

  • Take a professional photo: it is the first thing your prospects see when they arrive on your profile. Neglecting it is putting obstacles in your way.
  • Take care of your banner: If you decide to leave it empty, your future clients will think that you are inactive on this social network and that is not what we want. So be careful.
  • Write an effective description: Many people talk about themselves and totally forget about their customers. So put forward what you can bring them. What are your assets? Why do they need you? Always have your target in mind.
  • Note their different experiences: For this point, don’t hesitate to go into detail and cite the actions they take on a daily basis. And who knows? It could be useful to get a new contract.

When you add a new and interesting contact, consider writing a small note to differentiate yourself. This may well make them want to check out your profile, and even contact you for a possible future collaboration.
